Does the iFootpath App update automatically?

The iFootpath App connects to the iFootpath servers when you visit the Store and provides an up to date list of walking guides.

Once a walk is downloaded to your Library it is stored on your device. Rather than deleting and re-downloading the walk you can tap Refresh to make sure that you have any updates.

iFootpath Expert: Refresh for Success

To update the iFootpath App, please follow the process below:

For iOS/Apple simply open the App Store on your device, and tap the Updates icon at the bottom of the screen. If you see (in the middle of the screen) a message that says, “All Apps are Up-to-date,” then none of the apps on your iPhone require an update at this time. If an app needs updating, it appears with an Update button next to it. Tap the button to update the app. If more than one app needs updating, you can update them all at once by tapping the Update All button.

To turn on automatic updates in iOS

  1. Tap Settings > [your name at the top of the screen] > iTunes & App Store.
  2. Turn on the content that you want to automatically download.
  3. I would suggest that you leave Update Mobile Data off.

For Androidit is a similar process.  To update your Apps manually Open the Google Play Store app

Tap Menu Menu (three horizontal bars) and then My apps & games. Apps with an update available updates are labelled "Update."

Tap Update All to update all apps. For individual apps, find the specific app you want to update and tap Update.

To turn on automatic updates in iOS

  1. Open the Google Play Store app Google Play.
  2. Tap Menu Menu and then Settings.
  3. Tap Auto-update apps.
  4. Select an option:  We would recommend Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only to update apps only when connected to Wi-Fi.
