There are five reasons why we do not have many walks in Scotland (in no particular order)
- It is a long way for Claire, Bobbie and I to travel both in terms of time and costs. So it's not easy to just jump in a car for a few days.
- Unlike England and Wales we have been able to attract any walk sponsors such as pubs, local authorities, landowners, etc. (Just create a whole set of walks for a landowner in North Yorkshire for example)
- We have had very few volunteer guest authors for Scotland - iFootpath Expert: Become a Guest Walk Author https://www.ifootpath.com/ifootpath-expert/ifootpath-expert-become-a-guest-walk-author
- There has been less demand for walks in Scotland - maybe because of the open access rules?
